I'm currently sat in the Qantas Club lounge in Hobart seething :(! as I've had two small canisters removed from my possession as they had no lids ( anti frizz stuff for my hair). Given they've managed to get through LHR, HKG, SYD, ADE, and MEL on this trip already I'm a bit bemused ?| . They were in the requisite clear bag , less than 100mls volume, bag all done up blah blah..The same items have been through the USA (lidless as always) dozens of times without a problem from the TSA so what gives here in Tasmania ???
I can't find anything on the Australan Govt website to say they' ve got to have lids??
Rant over .
DL ( soon to be frizzy haired in this humidity :0 lol)

It is not uncommon - the OH has lost deodorant on the same basis.

If an aerosol doen't have a lid or can't be locked off like some of the new ones - they take them away. Does rather depend on whether they spot them!

Not just a Tasmanian thing but and Australian thing.

On a more positive note how did you find Tassie?

Ah right Rob :) .
Tassie was fabulous and a foodies paradise :D :D .Freycinet Peninsular was spectacular as were all the ( endless ) beaches .Hobart is a bit strange though with everything seeming to shut by 10pm.
Arriving back in Sydney has been a bit of a shock :0

Ha ha HWV not sure we left it tidy. ):

The schlep to Wineglass Bay nearly killed me (and that was only to the lookout!!!), Had DL the Elder not already done the treck there and back ( and she's 75 :0 ) I'd probably have given up :0 .
