Virgin Atlantic scored 3rd place in the Top 10 business classes 2013 as voted for by the panel at thedesignair.net. Way to go Virgin! Some interesting entries there, like Oman air and Eva air, but looks like they are well deserved....

Good result but written by people who read marketing blurbs over actually travelling - how the UCDS beats ANZ's proper UCS and their food and wine is beyond me v( .

Maybe the UCDS was reviewed by a slim midget who hasn't flown J prior. :-)

I think the Oman Air cabin looks a bit like a private jet. I'm not sure I like the Cathay Pacific one.

I'm just back from a return trip with SQ in business and it was outstanding. As that article says their J seat is better than a lot of other airlines first class offerings especially if you get yourself a bulkhead :D
Service annoyed me though as I had 'Do Not Disturb' set on my seat and they kept prodding me until I woke up etc. I can forgive them that little error though.

It's strange that nobody has ever mentioned the fact that the centre seats on the new A330s are 16cm shorter than the window seats, which (in my opinion) is a spectacular own goal for VS.
It defeats the quality of the product, and in actual fact, is a bit of a con.

Are you kidding??? :0

I thought we had covered everything in our mix of TRs and threads about the new UCDS.... when they were first unleashed upon the world it was a topic of conversation for weeks, bed length and the centre row cone head debacle. :?

As for the article, it does read like the reviewer has not set foot on these and just gone from the marketing blurbs and pictures provided by the airlines, the comments are general and offer up no specific anecdotal advice or judgement of service offered - also notice how there is mention of the art on board the new A333s (a promotion only for February I understand :P)

Times are tough, the 10 +?? (only the top 10 - how many didn't make the cut I wonder) flights would have had to have been purchased by the site as the airlines would not give them away - can you imagine the amount of blog travel sites that would spring up overnight!! I may set one up now :P

Reading some of his other articles though is interesting... there is even a TR or two on there for VS flights 8D

Sorry Folks.
I meant I haven't seen any official reviews that have picked up on it.
I know most of you guys are less than impressed with it.
That's what I meant... :#
