Hi Guys,

I was one of the lucky ones to get the email back in January offering 25% point bonuses if you transferred Amex MR points to Virgin Flying Club before today (15th).

I followed the link only to see that my pre registered preferred partners has my old Flying Club number. I was lucky to upgrade to FC AU in the last two weeks when obviously it was changed.

My question really is, is my old number still linked to my current new Gold account? I just tried registering my BA EC number v( and it just told me it could take 14days for it to appear on the site as a partner with which to transfer points.

I.m looking to transfer quite a few points before the day is out but just concerned they may disappear into space if my old FC number is still not linked in some way to my current gold account.

Thanks again

Scott

No , you'll be fine transferring them to your FC account even with the old number showing, as all the numbers stay linked as you move up ( and down ) the FC tiers. Thanks for the reminder the promo ends today though as I received the mail too and had forgotten to do my transfers y) .

I called the membership rewards customer service team yesterday and they changed my FC number to my new AU one just in case, 80,000 transferred yesterday so that will translate into a G if I can ever find another one I want.

Just a quick query- has anyone who received the invitation and transferred MR points actually received the bonus? When I've made transfers offering a transfer bonus previously the bonus miles have posted quickly but there's still no sign of the bonus miles hitting my account this time ?| .

I haven't received my bonus yet either but the email does state that "bonus miles will be credited by 11 March" so maybe we'll get them by Easter ;)

My bonus points appeared in VS pretty soon after the regular transfer had gone through.
