I'm going to come off here as sounding like a beg but simply would just like to experience it as much as everybody else! I'm heading out to America on the 31st for the first time and the first time by myself! First time flying Virgin and on such a long flight. Is anyone around at Heathrow on the 31st that can sneak (invite really :P ) into the Clubhouse? Again, not trying to sound like a beg just wanting to experience it! Apologies if this kind of thing isn't allowed.

Cheers,

Luke :)

Hello

Where are you flying to and what flight number? This may help narrow things down.

Also - have a look at the Itinerary Calendar - it will show who is flying and if there is an L next to their name then they are offering CH access.

Hey sorry Luke, that's good info! May I ask exactly where ill find this L? And appears no one is on the VS001 flight that day.

I'm flying to Newark on 31st March on VS001 at 16:15. Hope this helps :)

To see if a fellow VF has offered CH access, when you hover over their entry in the itinerary calendar you should see, for example:

VS1 LHR-EWR 26 MAR 13 (UC) [L]

The [L} represents a CH invite. You then send the kind person a message and hope it is still available.

It doesn't look like anyone is scheduled in the CH at the time of your flight on Monday, but you never know :)

I fly out on the Sunday. Are there no other flights departing LHR around that time? I can't see at the moment on my iPhone.

There is someone on VS005, but that goes a 3 and a bit hours before VS001.

Many V-Flyers are on the inaugural domestic service from Manchester that day, but most are heading into, rather than from, LHR...

Hm but once they've given my name and I'm in the CH that's all right? They can leave for their flight and I can stay in the CH until I depart.

as a guest, you are supposed to leave the CH when they leave

And they have to be there when you arrive, so you'd have to enter the CH around 10.30 am (as VS005 departs at 11.35). Not that it's a hardship, you understand :)

True. My response was focused on whether people were flying rather than whether they were offering. As such, may not have been totally relevant...

Is there not a time limit you are allowed in the CH or is that only if you have paid for access?

Not for people travelling in UC or Au members. I've arrived on a connecting flight at 9am for a 4pm flight and on that particular occasion there was a guy there who had arrived before me on a JFK flight and was waiting for the JNB flight which went out at least 2 hours after mine.

As HL says opening hours are the only limit for those flying UC or AU cardholders. In practice not everyone wants to use the CH for an extended period; in one of our residencies I've seen people arrive, have a coffee, and then leave so I guess that tends to manage the number in the CH. The first time we used it the morning flight schedule limited the time we could spend; the second time we were there so long I was asked (in a kindly manner) whether our flight had been delayed.

There are various threads such as here that attempt to describe what the rules might be for guests.

The 'Guest List' package limits the time to 3 hours, but presumably does so by timing the car pick up.

VS3046 is Manchester to Heathrow. You'd need someone going the other way.

Except the Little Red domestic flights will depart from T1 so won't allow access to the CH in T3.

I did wonder about that.
