Good morning,

I think VA are having a difficult time at check-in. There has been an aircraft change to the LHR config. Apparently an aircraft is stuck in Montego Bay??

My wife was offered an upgrade to UC but refused (I know).

They were offering 2 options:

1. Upgrade (complimentary if you're lucky or £199 from Econ to PE or £790 from PE to UC)

2. £522 cash per pax to fly to NYC, spend the night in NYC and on to MCO tomorrow.

Clubhouse seems busier than usual. Just a thought - If a pax gets a comp to UC, do they get lounge access?

Yep their new ticket will show as a J so no way for the staff to notice.

Technically speaking not too sure, have heard the odd story about pax being turned away after comp upgrades but doesn't happen often. :?

Probably busy due to a delay.. I notice from Flight stats that the 63 to HAV and the 15 to MCO are showing delays.. looks like the CH will be open passed 1 today.

Enjoy the lounge and hope the flight is good 8D

Just a quick question on this too... sorry for split posting.

Were they offering a transfer to LHR then onto NYC? or were they going to put you on US Airways?

Given the time there was, probably the VS 1,9,17 or 25... If they paid accommodation, food and transfers in NYC too I'd be tempted to take it as an extra treat to the holiday. :P
