Having read about this was keen to give this try and after OLCI for the VS001 to JFK last week i clicked the option of 'deliver to Passbook'
When email arrived clicked on link and boarding pass quickly downloaded to iPhone 'Passbook' app.

Even though I was given i paper boarding pass at DTCI (I was told that would make sense as there have been some teething issues!) i used it after this. Impressed when boarding as just asked to wave my iPhone over the glass screen, no tearing of paper.

Showed phone to the crew on boarding - mixed reaction ii) (same for my wife who preferred her paper copy!) Suspect this may a 'love it or hate it' thing but as a sad techie it did float my boat!!

You'll see from attached image that the UC boarding pass is nice and purple :D

Shame not available on my return on the VS026. Trip reports of both flights to follow.

I used my passbook App in December last year for the VS001 too, I must say I quite enjoyed it also :D

I look forward to getting my Purple one for my LAX flight on March 24.

On a side note shame you only got SEQ 14 ;)

Yes and I tried hard but...... xx(
Got Seq 1 on the VS026 home (1st time!! :o) )[/quote]

Congratulations.

Sad as I am I set a reminder on my iPhone to go off 10 minutes before OLCI opens for my flight so I can try and get SEQ 1 , I have managed it 4 times now

That looks very nice. I've only ever had the BA boarding passes on my BlackBerry and they're just plain white and barcode.

I'll have to try this out if I ever find out how passbook works.

At the minutes, yes. Though I would imagine this will get rolled out everywhere eventually.
