Indeed they can and do.

They are also not very good at enforcing the 1 piece of hand luggage plus 1 laptop bag or handbag rule. It is not uncommon to see people with 3 or 4 decent sized hand luggage bags in T5.

This 6kg hand limit is a mystery.
What do VS do with their 'planes to have this limit?!

My MAN>LHR return fare for Mar 31st is a £0 base fare with £94.10 fees/tax which is the same as BA charge on this route.

People have been posting that the 6kg limit is going to be removed in the near future. Quite why it takes so long if that is the case is an absolute mystery to me.

Seeing as it takes months to correct errors on their website, it would probably take months for them to update the page on luggage limits as well.

You're right. They seem to be living off past glory and the fact that many of us are creatures of habit and will always come back because we like to go with what we know, but no one likes to be taken for granted or ignored.
