I am going out to Orlando on 18th December in PE, returning 30th December in UC for the (IMO) fairly decent price of £1087.82 plus 25k miles.

After telling my sister, she (plus husband and niece) is going to come too.

There is only one reward seat left so I can get another ticket exactly like mine for £1087.82 and pay for an adult and a child at £3248.64.

I have the seats on hold at the moment but thought I should check with the experts if this seemed like a good deal.

Two @ £1,087.82 = £2175.64
Two @ £3,248.64

Total £5424.28 (plus 50k miles) for 3 adults and an 8 year old flying out PE and back UC.

That's an average of £1356 per person (I've counted the 8 year old as a full person and not adjusted for a reduced fare and not included the miles either) so personally I'd say it was a good deal.

But it depends if you are pooling the entire costs amongst you or if your sister is paying her own (and hubby's way) as the average cost of their 3 tickets (1087+3248 / 3) is £1445.

That said, if your happy to pay that then go ahead.!

Thanks Tonty!

I thought it was a good price too; think I just wanted a confirmation from a fellow flyer!

It will be their first holiday as a family so really looking forward to it :)

Hey ScubaRoo!!

Keeping very well thank you! Hope you and Mrs ScubaRoo are good too? Did I see that you are off to Florida later this year?!

I went ahead and booked those tickets so very happy.

I booked two PE K's and two return EC M's and upgraded the M's to G's. There were two so I grabbed them while I could.

Booked two PE K's and two return UC Z's (one an 8 year old child) so certainly saved some money.

All UC were sold out flying out but seeing as they think we are flying out Economy, it will hopefully be a lovely surprise when we get to the airport.

Had a few thousand miles to burn so happy to spend them on the upgrades and pay cash for the rest. Had a small inheritance from my uncle so he has helped us all get away together.

Definitely hooked on turning left now and I remembering you saying to me in the Clubhouse that I would do everything and anything to get to upgrade! Very, very true!

Whereabouts was that manatee place you went to? Was thinking of taking my niece there when we go if it is warm enough.

:D

Thanks flabound and ScubaRoo! I think SeaWorld will definitely be on the list. Kid loves aquariums so thought it would be pretty cool for her to see something you don't find in a tank.

Know you have me thinking about taking her diving ... I know my sister has a diving qualification from her days in the army ... hmmmmmmm!

Any other suggestions would always be gratefully received from anyone. I have done some of Florida state (Jacksonville, Daytona, Clearwater, Tampa, Everglades, Key West, Homestead, Miami, Naples, Madeira Beach, St Augustine, Pensacola and Panama Beach) and been to Orlando five times as my best friends live out there but any insider information is always handy and helpful.

We are out 18th Dec to 30th Dec, staying with friends in Celebration. Disney is on the list and possibly Universal for my brother in law. They have never been to Florida before and haven't been away for years so any tips to make this extra special would be fantastic. I have suggested Cape Canaveral as well.

Scuba - glad to see you are jet-setting here and there! I still believe our paths will cross again one of these days!
