To make sure I don't end up with a full work calendar I'm looking at getting the next holiday booked in the diary asap.

I'e checked online and there are so far no G's available (I knew it was a lucky thing to get two G's on the last trip) so FC have come up with buying outbound in Econ, upgrading to PE with 12,500 miless then full fare purchase of UC for the return total of £1507.27 which is £104 less than booking full fare in each class.

Sound good or not?

Well UC works out at about £2100 return with cash, so £1500 for economy outbound (albeit upgraded to PE with miles) and UC return doesn't strike me as amazing value tbh.

If you can justify the extra £600 I'd pay for UC return and save the 12,500 miles for next time you can get Gs (and obviously earn more miles and TPs).

Of course there's always the chance a G will still appear for your outbound ...

Good point. I think I will go with just booking PE and UC for return for £100 more and see if a G comes up for the outbound.

Thank you!

or I could just book UC both ways and save the miles for for an upcoming work trip to Miami where unlike normal trips in PE we have to fly "coach" and for the first time ever mandatory room sharing :0

Was offered a MPM ticket in UC for 1930.27

Do VS still say MPM fares don't earn TPs or miles, but then add TPs and miles afterwards?

Nope, not generally. I checked again and MPM is not eligible for TPs and miles. Of two MPS flights last year I got them once but think that may of been after a complaint and response from the Exec office which in the response stated I had earned TPs and Miles, I had been about to reply "no I did not!" but checked my account and there they were.

Seriously.. I'm shuddering still. Past worldwide Kick Off events have stated coach (which I've avoided) but bloody room sharing???? Nope, not doing it, asides privacy issues I'm not sharing with a hairy arsed stranger
