Yes y)

Any activity, or purchase through shops away will keep you accounts active. so you don't lose any miles Linda

In other words, don't go to expense of buying 1000 miles. Just buy something on iTunes or the like, using ShopsAway!

Depending on when the current miles expire, the Shops Away miles may not credit in time

Very true, I like iTunes as it's one of the faster ways of getting it but totally take your point. A hotel stay will only credit after the date of stay.

How about booking a ticket on Virgin Trains - that credits fast - 2 points per £1.
First Class between Manchester and Stockport anyone? :)

Again they will only credit after the trip has taken place - up to 5 days for advance tickets (i.e. non refundable ones) but up to 65 for those which are refundable.

I have the same problem with my husbands FC account. He has 26,000 miles due to expire on the 26th April.... when I realiseda while ago, i did some online shopping (any excuse!) but now I'm worrying that although the points are pending, they won't get credited on time. My other option would be to transfer them over to my account, but would rather wait until there is a transfer offer on before I do that. do you think FC would be lenient and re-credit the miles? I'm also waiting for some partner airline miles to be credited from November, I've sent off the forms and boarding passes, so FC should realise the account has been active?

Don't rely on FC being lenient (and to be honest why should they be?)

Why shouldn't they be if the hangup is on their end ?| Shopping miles (always a pain) and flights from November...
