Upgrade on Companion Ticket

Is there any way to go about upgrading from Economy to PE on a Companion Ticket?

You cannot upgrade the companion ticket with either miles or cash. You can upgrade the the revenue ticket that was used to get the companion ticket with either miles or cash.
