I haven't been in the Heathrow clubhouse for a couple of months and I noticed a few changes this morning. Notably, the menu has changed and they now have a British tapas selection. I tried the Fried whitebait, Caesar salad and Ham hock and pea terrine. Delicious and served on a neat little wooden platter. I also ordered a glas of champagne, which hadn't arrived by the time my food had. I chased it up and lo-and-behold two glasses arrived in quick succession. Well it would be churlish to send one back ;)

I also noted that the water feature has finally been removed and the entrance doors to the VS check-in area have been changed to introduce a dog-leg. They have been busy!

I agree the tapas is nice. The ham hock is also a starter on the main menu. I seem to remember having some olives too - not sure how British they are!

With so much fusion food going round nowadays, even the food lines are getting blurred. I expect that in a decade or so, pizza, paella and kebabs might be classified as British by the now teenagers.
