Has anyone else encountered problems with either shopping directly from the website or using the miles app and the miles not appearing in their account?

I pretty much do all my shopping online and if the company is on the list I use them. Since last November (and on 2 different PCs) I haven't successfully had miles credited to my account directly, through either the site or the app and I have had to claim them back separately.

I've sent a couple of emails off to the 'Cashback Virgin' email address asking for suggestion but haven't had any joy as yet.

Just wondered if anyone else had problems and if they had resolved them.

Used it about half a dozen times now through the Virgin Website and never any problems myself..... can take a while but they do come through (weeks not months)

I've had similar experiences. I've ordered a load of stuff which is to be delivered to the aircraft in MAN. Although, I'm yet to see any of my miles added to my account.

One thing I did consider was that perhaps they need to wait for your flight date to pass, as you could cancel the orders prior to takeoff, and still get mileage credited to the account.

I'm not going to panic too much, until I'm back from MCO.
If they don't appear then, I will drop them an e-mail.

I'm going back to January now where miles are still missing. It's just a pain because I have to keep track of my orders and wait the 40 days after purchase to send in a claim and it's just a bit of a faff :)

Thanks Tekcom but I'm not actually referring to Retail Therapy but the Shops Away 'partners' on the website. I know the retail therapy ones will come after a flight y)

I never heard of this before could someone please explain more???

Does the "retail therapy" have to be goods that are delivered or can you buy direct from the store???

I use it loads and find its very retailer specific. Some appear without fail a day or two later, others never appear and ALWAYS require a nudge by emailing the virgin team.

Generally the team are very good and credit the miles in a few days but there have been times when I haven't received a reply for a week or two.

I know its a pain but I would advise you you keep track of your purchases (certainly the biggish ones) and then fire off one email every couple of months with all the purchases that have not appeared.

If you look at Quidco you will see that some retailers are noted as 'Slow' to pay while others are much faster.

If it's things like hotel stays you won't get credited until after the stay.
