First time I have posted so apologies for any mistakes.

Found this on the Wall Street Journal website.

VA are mentioned as one of the airlines who use this, but I have never seen any link on the website. Do they still offer this ?

I have a flight booked to Vegas using FC miles in a couple of weeks time

I have access to "your bid" through my booking page
I am in Y, and the slider bid to upgrade to PE starts at £275 + £67 taxes on the outbound, and £285 on the return

Does anyone know if you get tier points for a successful bid win or is it still based on the original class ?

FAQ says

If you are successful Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles and tier points applicable to the upgrade cabin will be rewarded as per the Flying Club terms and conditions for the higher booking class of any upgraded flight.

not sure how that would work on mine, as I have used miles for the flight
