Bit of a stupid question really. I have a VS White Amex card but have never really paid attention to what I should receive by way of benefits. Lurking at the back of my mind was the fact that if I spend 10 grand in one year and I should receive a PE Upgrade voucher or 15 grand and will receive the companion fare.

I have spent well over 15k in a year and received nothing. How does one go about obtaining these vouchers? If it is automatic then something has clearly gone very wrong. Does anyone know if these are issued respectively if there has been a bit of a balls up by either the folk at MBNA or FC.

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

They should appear (as a one line entry) in your FC account - no need to 'claim' them, no bits of paper to retain and send in - they are all electronic

It should be automatic. Much to my surprise I received one a few weeks ago. It coincided with an annual statement of spending being issued, which is related to the start of your account

"A year is defined by the 12 month period starting from the date your Virgin Atlantic Credit Card account was opened. MBNA will notify Virgin Atlantic of your eligibility within 30 days of the end of the year."

Remember its only on the Amex spending part of your card , the visa spend does not count, I've got one as well.
One thing that really irritates me is that any spending on miles purchases with Virgin, does not qualify for the double points, even though you are purchasing through a Virgin company.
