My first memory in USA (1989) was peanut butter favoured Twix bars.

Although not chocolate, when in Spain I love those boiled sweets with sherbet in the middle, they are sold as a long-chain and you tear one off at a time.

I love Nestlé Crunch bars abroad, struggle to find them in the UK.

And of course it's mandatory to buy a crazy sized Toblerone bar in the airport duty free, not available anywhere else. Actually coming to think of it not seen Toblerone in the shops for a while.

I love the Cherry Sour Balls you get in the states - very adictive.

On thge topic of MandM's - my daughter dragged me into the MandM store in Manhattan when we were there in early April - anyone else been there?

I was staggered by the engenious variety of the damn things - but most of all, hated the all pervasive smell of sickly chocolate in the shop that it took at least a day to get out of my clthing!

Yes, been there once and never felt the need to go back again (bit like I feel about Abercrombie and Fitch).

I much prefer the Cadbury World store where you used to be able to see and buy the regional variations of Cadbury's offerings...
