Good morning all,

So far I have never managed to use any of my AMEX upgrade vouchers, but it looks like I might be booking a seat for a friend and a couple of questions come to mind.
1. Can I use the voucher in someone else's name?
2. Which level of Taxes will I have to pay (Econ or PE)
3. Are you allowed to combine with a reward seat sale as I heard both yes and no?

Many thanks

Dominic

I've done all of the above recently..so,

1. Yes. Your voucher can be used to upgrade book some-one else a flight. This is subject to the EC flight being booked as a reward using FC miles and and upgrade availablity.....check with VS reservations.
2. You'll pay PE "Taxes". v(
3. Yes, that's just what I did. I got seats in the reward sale and upgraded using the Amex Upgrade Voucher. y)

Hope this helps

Paul

I'll just have to wait for the sale to come along so can snap the offer up.

Ha Ha, I used to Ski but prefer soft boots and baggy pants (sorry trousers) 8D

I do ride with a few kick ass Skiers when in Tahoe it's all just fun on the hill to me and then the drinking starts with a Lodge tour at the end of the day y) :D
