Will be flying LHR-MAN-LHR tomorrow as need to go to "the dark side of the hill" for a meeting. Managed to do OLCI without any problems for the outbound, but when trying (later in the day) to do OLCI for the return I wasn't able to do anything except reissue the boarding pass for the outbound. v(

Called VS (surprisingly no queue ^) ) and found that it's not possible to be checked on to both flights at the same time. n( The agent said that I'd only be able to check in for the return once the outbound had landed.

Now I'm not the most frequent business flyer but, having flown north & back again the same day (with BA) in the past and been able to complete OLCI for both flights the day before, IMO it seems that VS haven't properly considered the full potential of business travellers on Little Red who will want to have a hassle free trip and complete both OLCIs on the day before travel.

Sounds a little strange. I know it's not OLCI but when I checked in using the machines at the airport for my little red flights, it printed both boarding passes without being prompted. They also were same day flights.

I have travelled up and down on Little Red a few times now, down one day and back the next and if your return is within 24hrs the check in team will issue both boarding cards for you so just ask tomorrow and they will take care of this for you. The self service kiosks can and will also do this for you.

Hope you enjoy the Little Red experience.

Well I didn't have time at LHR to go to the check-in desk or use the kiosks, but after landing at MCR I tried again and found that OLCI was available on MMB, but after selecting "check-in" I was told that I was already checked in.

Obviously I thought this was a bit odd as I knew I hadn't been able to complete OLCI previously, so I took a punt and went through the necessary bits to get a boarding pass resent and found that I'd managed to bag Seq 1!

I can only think that if you've got both legs on the same day the "check-in" part of OLCI is completed for both flights when you're doing the outbound OLCI.
