Hi All,

I seem to be in bucket O for my return flight from New York in September. I know this is super inflexible fare bucket because it was also super cheap which is brilliant. However does this mean that there is absolutely no way of changing the flight to a few days later or does it just mean there will be a hefty fee for doing so? Would it actually be cheaper just to buy a new return fare?

An 'O' is indeed very restricted, that's why it's (relatively) so cheap.

You may be able to change it but yes there will be a hefty fee.

As for booking a whole new return flight - that will be very expensive as one-way flights are charged at a premium.

Best advice is to call customer services and see what they can do - but make sure you're sitting down, have a strong drink at hand and be prepared to be disappointed.

You can usually change an O, but for a hefty fee. However, the fee will be much cheaper than a new return ticket.

To change an O is is a £100pp change fee, plus you will have to pay any differences between the price you paid and the current lowest available price on the date you want to fly.
