I flew BA last month because of the really good price and the opportunity to fly to Tampa instead of the usual nightmares of Miami or Orlando. Having read other people's comments I thought I would add my own comparisons.
* the BA price - wow it really was good
* the BA CH - oh dear no contest. VS wins
* the BA seat - really comfy in sitting position
* the BA bed - give me VS please
* BA storage drawer - very useful a real plus
* BA destination - fantastic. Loved TPA. Even security &
immigration were friendly. No queues.
* BA cabin layout - yuk. Felt very crowded.
* BA climbing over people's feet to reach aisle - double yuk
* BA sitting by aisle- ok if you don't mind the CC hitting your
elbow as they rush up and down
* BA food- good but the way it was served felt no better than
the tray handed to you in Y. VS much superior.
* BA CC - always seemed in a rush and hard to get their
attention. Please I like more than one cup of coffee!
Never felt in any way special. Never addressed beyond
absolute necessity. VS scores again. Also VS seem more
aware of their passengers' needs.
* BA breakfast - where were my cereals ? I don't want a bacon
roll as the only choice. And more coffee please! VS scores
highly here.
* BA taking me by surprise - sitting facing backwards I never
got advance warning and suddenly a tray or hot towel
would appear in front of me. Didn't like this !
* BA footstool- had a mind of its own !Perhaps this was me
not getting to grips with it but how I missed VS ready to
explain everything with a friendly smile.
* BA talk to your neighbour- yes, excellent if you are
travelling with a friend it is nice to hold a conversation
* BA time keeping - umm. Recently I have experienced delays on
VS flights ( some long) and BA did take off on time ( for
these two flights.)
Conclusion. Well, I am booked again BA for September because of the price at the time and flying to Tampa. But as for my next flights ?! ?|
Please VS fly to Tampa - there would be no contest !!!!
