The hello from the clubhouse thread plus breaking news !

Morning everyone from Gatwicks wonderful clubhouse.

Very quick through security and into the new duty free shop that's now finished ( although there's still a massive amount of work being done airside )

Breaking News - new menu in the clubhouse !!

The British Breakfast

Smoked trout kedgeree

Breakfast Rolls ( bacon or sausage )

Eggs Benedict

Eggs Royale

Eggs Florentine

Warm Maple glazed banana

Toasted Crumpets

And .........

The Clubhouse Burger !!! y) y) being the 1st time for Gatwick

Where to start ?|

There's also been been massive work now finished on the concourse outside - when travelling to the Hilton you now don't push your trolley down the spiral ramps, you go outside (under a roof), cross the road and go down a level by elevator then up the tunnel to the hotel. Cooperman, it's a slow 3 mins 20 secs walk even after waiting on a lift

The only other strange occurrence is 2 texts from tripit pro telling me of a 1 hour delay, but no delay mentioned at checkin or the clubhouse reception. ?| ?| little weird ?| o

Anyway got to have a decent go at this new menu and then onwards to the sun.

Not only is the burger now in Gatwicks Clubhouse, you also get them on the Orlando flights in upper (although I am sure they were there in feb)

Trip report to follow - I should really do it now, as the usual wakening at 4.00am on the 1st morning has occurred - but right now needing coffee.

Great flight, fantastic FSM, immigration took around 5 mins and had arrived at Disneys Saratoga Springs within 45 mins of landing.

More details to follow.
