Hi V-flyers

i am flying the ARN-LHR-SFO and return in middle to the end of July, in economy. When returning we have a 4 1/2 hrs layover. And the word shower springs to mind. I found this on the airports homepage:
Showers are available in the following locations;

After security in Terminal 3 (located in No.1 Traveller Lounge)
In Terminal 4 arrivals (near the Heathrow Express station)
In the Terminal 4 departure lounge (after security)

Showers in Terminal 4 are free to use. In Terminal 4 arrivals, a towel pack (including shower cap, shampoo and shower gel) is available for a small charge – just ask an attendant.

Is this an option? is it possible to move between those terminals, if you have pass through security, is the boarding card sufficient to get back in?
I really hope some one understands my qustions, and has an answer for me. (English is not my first language)

yes it is an option for you.

Yes you will need your boarding pass (and passport) to get through immigration and security.

I assume your bags will be checked through to ARN so you won't have to collect them and check-in again.

There are air-side connections but you will only be allowed to go to the terminal you are connecting to. So if you arrive at T3 and your ARN flight leaves from e.g. T1 then you won't be able to access T4 air-side.

There is a guide to connecting between terminals on the LHR website.

If you let us know which terminal your flight to ARN leaves from then we will be able to give better advice.

Depending on the time of arrival, you have the Air Canada arrivals lounge at Terminal 3, which accepts Priority Pass.

They will iron your shirt while you shower!

EDIT - It's landside

Though once you are in your departure terminal (having been through security) you can move between terminals airside, though have to go back through security on the way back. There is a minimum time you need before your flight to do this, 3 hours I believe.

As you say, going landslide and use the T4 arrivals showere then back to T3. Saves being screened that extra time.
