Looks awesome, got to be better than Xscream, which if you are not scared of heights is really quite tame.

The Big Shot gives a better thrill than XScream :D

Can`t wait to plan my next Vegas vacation if only for the new ride

I want to try the rollercoaster up there and the blaster in Sept. The two new ones look like too much of a head f***. Then again, once I'm there!

Sorry for bringing this up, been a while since the last post on this subject.

But did anyone who went to the V-Flyer Vegas trip go on the new ride?

I`m definately up for it when i go in Jan but wanted to know what everyone else thought of it?

thanks :D

Yup - we went on all 4 of them! [y][^]

They're GREAT!!! (Insanity's more relaxing than it looks, X-Scream's a little too short for my liking, but they're still fantastic rides)

(although High Roller - the rollercoaster - is getting a bit tame now. Good job they're ripping it out next year... ;))

Can`t wait now!

Didn`t rate X-Scream too much anyway

Always thought that Big Shot was the best, may change my mind once i`ve been on Insanity though.

Just to note...last night one of our local people decided to drive their car into the transormer that serves the Strat(this happens every now and again[:0])we lost all power for a few hours, the casino has generators that supply enough power to keep the lights and camera's on,but not enough to run the rides.

So when power was lost all the rides went into rest mode..

the only ride that happened to be in the middle of a run at the time was the X-Scream,this came to it's rest postion(level) with the car sitting out at the end of the track..I know Paul would of loved this.

All pax were of course fine, the Strat will be sued for a few million, which will get thrown out of court..again..

Got to agree with the others on this one. The Big Shot is the best.

Roller coaster was very average.

Insanity made me dizzy

X-Scream was not bad, but you know it is not going to fall off the rails........

We only did Big Shot - great ride.

Though they did get upity about Dean wearing glasses with his head strap thingy wossit. We've never had a problem in any other park or ride, but they insisted he took them off which was a shame. But the ride still rocks.

The coaster at New York New York was better then I expected it would be.

I would be convinced it would be coming off the rails. Yeah only did Big shot and for my money that was one of the highlights of our Vegas trip, even if I couldn't see that well without the glasses.

Heard they were getting rid of the coaster and putting in some parachute free fall ride or something.

Just been reading the news reports about the power outage... it would appear that power and telephone lines being crossed caused the outage. But oh my god, what were the news crews thinking by sending helicopters up there to film it - how off putting must that be to get stuck and then have them up there!

Dave - I see what you mean about lifting Insanity up to be installed by helicopters - talk about having nuts the size of well nuts to actually be on the edge installing it!

Thanks,
Richard

Dave, to encourage customers in to the Strat why not suggest a V-Flyer convention week to your bosses:

Monday: Getting the most from your Ipod hosted by Paul
Tuesday: Bang for buck from your tumbleweed hosted by me
Wednesday: Keeping all your guests happy, all it takes are M&M's - Nick or Dave
Thursday: Overcoming one's fears of heights, the Insanity way - Pete
Friday: General session with panel for those quirky questions such as: Splitting Tens? When is a comp breakfast not worth it? Cocktails for the modern man?

Thanks,
Richard

There has veeb some talk about making Vegas a yearly thing, which heck im up for[y][^].

Im sure that if it does become a yearly thing the Strat will jump on board,i've been trying to show my boss the site, but it keeps coming up with the 500 error[:0][n].so till this problem gets resolved I dont see them pushing any ad money this way..of course I did point out that the 500 error is becuae the site is so popular that it just cant keep up,don't think they trust me on that one.

also

Sat night.karaoke. hosted again by the Ipod king.
Sun . how to best recover froma screaming hangover hosted by Mike

I was told the same thing when i was there by a dealer in the Bellagio, but he said it had been rejected by the local planing office.

er, yes, but that's from the point of view of one of the "Y" seats! Speaking as someone who was up-front (and the one who doesn't throw himself out of aeroplanes for "fun"), X-Scream was a bloody silly thing to go on [B)][:$][:?] (Well, that's what I thought at the time, anyway:D).

If you want a scary ride, try VS20 somewhere over Iceland and have someone take a flash photo of you while you're dreaming!! [:0][:0]

casino biz rules

Rule #1 Never listen to a player...see the split tens theory

Rule #2 Never listen to a dealer...they think they know everything, but for the most part know nothing.

What the dealer may off been talking about was a plan we had to run a roller coaster down the side of the Strat...a 850 ft drop..making it the highest and fastest coaster in the world..this plan was rejected by the local council due to noise concerns.

Of course they gave us the ok to put a King Kong ride on the side of the tower including a roaring Kong...go figure.

Is that for real?

What sort of ride have they got planned?

Typically i`ll be there in January and it won`t be built, i guess that means another Vegas Vacation then!

It was actualy planned before we opened,Kong would travel up the side of the tower with the riders in his belly, with some sort of visual show going on,at one point he would stagger and drop slightly...we still have the ok to put it,but no idea if they ever will.
