Just tried to book a DL reward flight, it can't be done before 5pm GMT.....

What will be interesting is, the fee's on DL.com show a grand total of...$10 (this is for a couple of domestic flights), I have to wonder what VS is going to try and charge me...

Well as ever, the VS team is on top of everything, by everything I mean you can't actually book reward flights, either through the VS website or by calling the flying club....Good to see some things never change.

Does the fact that we are on BST make any difference as under GMT it's still not 5.00 P??M

You can't book any partner reward flights via the website, ever. This does include Delta.. Although 5pm GMT is when everything is live so it should now be possible via FC.

It would be possible, if VS actually had any availability, sadly the Delta tie up seems to be the same as every other partner airline, looks good on paper, but try booking something.

Would be good if the seat maps show what is actually available before you book (like nealy every other airline allows).
There does seem to be an error with the seat numbers on the 747. The last seat in the nose (near the door) is usually 19 not 12.

That is a fair point too. I hadnt looked at it in that way. Though I still do like the ones on DL.

Has anyone else also noticed that you can't book a flight with Delta via little red. Was looking at tickets ATL to EDI via LHR but it doesn't appear to be allowed.

There are still quite a few DL flights/routes missing from the VS website.

Charlotte, NC isn't on the VS website for example (I was checking this as we sometimes, for work, have to travel to one of our sites in Gastonia NC, for which Charlotte is the nearest airport. DL do fly there via ATL from MAN)

Maybe the VS call centre has access to more flights/routes?

When I had a look at the price differences, DL were selling D's for the same price as Z's, where as Virgin were selling the D for the higher price...

Very interesting especially as I have a flight on VS3 for the 2nd May... This was a 9:30 flight, will it now be 9:05 or indeed pushed back to 10:05..?

Craig Kreeger is on Sky News now talking about it

He's just said "Delta will remain Delta and VS will remain VS" and denied (although not, I thought, very convincingly) Jeff Randall's suggestion that Virgin's service standards will morph into Delta's.

He described VS as "cool and hip" with a service ethos that makes it stand out from BA/AA. I suspect that may open a can of worms among long-term FFs and those like marshy11 who've experienced anything but good customer service ...
