Sorry to bother you guys and gals.

I really really want those 2 nose seats in UC. We are on 91 days, 15 hrs, 34 mins :D

I'm checking almost hourly at the moment, just in case. Am I just wasting my time ?? :(

Same with me.

Serenawell, remember that they are just requests and much as you really want those nose seats, they are never really guaranteed until the doors are shut.

It wouldn't be the end of the world, I certainly wouldn't let it spoil my flight if we couldn't get those seats. Last time we went to Jamaica, we were seats 75, we didn't really speak to each other after the first hour :D I've got 10 days of OH all to myself, 9 hours not sat together isn't a problem. Its not like he can go very far, we can always rendevouz at the bar for a "date" :X

From my experience maps are posted the afternoon/evening the day before 90 days but won't accept any seat requests.

All my flights (including Little Red) have been accepted seat requests from 8-9am at 90 days out regardless of the flight time. Booked my LAS seats at 0802 this morning though couldn't at 0745.

Hope this helps you secure the seats you want. :)

you still need to keep checking though, I have requested at 90 days in the past only to find that just before OLCI my seat has been changed.

As they say, its only your seat when your bum is in it and the plane door is closed

What Penny says is correct, the last time we flew to Barbados, we did OLCI and everything was ok till we got to the airport and was told that the seats we had requested in UC and had boarding passes for were no longer available and we would have to downgrade to PE.

Ok worse case scenario and we were downgraded, as we used miles to get our flights would we be entitled to any compensation ??

Sorry about all the questions.

Yes you should still get 75% of them (plus 75% of the surcharges and taxes etc) back under EU261/2004.

As far as I can tell the regulations make no distinction between fares paid for with cash and those for miles.
