I suspect it'll be exactly the same, just presented differently.

As nice as they have been in PE I think I will give it a miss in UC :-)

I must say that i'm really surprised by this report. We travelled this route on 6/7/14 and it was superb service all the way. There were plenty of drinks runs throughout the flight and the attendants could not do enough, excellent.

For me, the main reasons to travel PE are: the seat; the extra space; extra luggage allowance and - if you manage to nab 19A-C, the speed of disembarkation. Food does not come into the equation because, AFAIK, the food offerings in PE and Y are exactly the same and they only differ in presentation. (I'm sure someone will correct that statement if it is wrong!) Me and the present Mrs Treelo now invariably eat before boarding, having been 'caught out' in the past by the totally underwhelming choice of meals on board.

That isn't quite true with the food.
The PE menu is actually a totally different menu to what is offered in Y. In PE you get a slightly better starter and desert and 3 different mains to what is offered in Y, albeit the same type of thing (a chicken, a beef, a veggie option).

I agree thought that the meal really isn't a benefit of PE, it's the bigger/better seat, more legroom, increased baggage, different check in, and the priority boarding/disembarking.

In theory, yes, but I've been on a LHR flight in UC downstairs and Economy has been allowed to disembark at the same time. Fortunately it was only the one occasion
