Manchester advice

I am planning to get train from Leeds to MAN the day before my flight. Does anyone have experience of getting from the train to the Radisson, is it easy for a dizzy ole queen like me traveling solo?

There is a train station at MAN, so it's just a matter of walking to the Radisson, so very easy.

It's very easy. There is a travelator between Terminals 1 and 2, the train station and Radisson are 'stops' along the travelator.

Simply get the lift up from the platform to the station booking hall and walk or travelate (?) the 100 yards to the hotel reception.

EGG, if I can, I'm sure that (even) you can manage it. If need be, take a stop off the travelator for a breather for the VERY short distance between the train station and the Radisson. ) As the bar is very close to the front door of the hotel, I'm sure a quick pick-me-up will re-invigorate you.

As others have said, it's an easy couple of minute walk from The Station [whoever thought of the name?!] to the Radisson at MAN via the walkway that links the terminals.

I've stayed at the Radisson a few times before flights from MAN and it's been OK. I always ask for a high floor room with an airport view for a bit of aviation viewing. Think the last time we stayed there [about 18months ago] we managed to get a business class room for £99 including breakfast. The food in the brasserie type place attached to the bar [as opposed to the main restaurant] was quite reasonably priced too.

The Radisson is just fine, we have stayed there on 4 occasions, the night before our flight, usually the early VS 75, we find it takes around 7 minutes to check-in. we have used both restaurants, however, they are the usual hotel food, generally expensive, giving poor value and choice. we never bother with breakfast, we prefer to use the VIP Escape Lounge in T2, very nice, quiet and the food and drinks are good, also it is so much more relaxing than the main terminal cafes. Costs around £16 per person.On 2 ocasions, we have caught the train into Manchester City centre and enjoyed an excellent choice of multi national restaurants, the train costs approx £4 return per person, money well spent.

The only time I stayed there was my honeymoon in 2002, went to the bar for a pint of Stella and a vodka and coke, £8 which was a lot back then! Nearly fell off my stool! However the breakfast was pretty good (buffet style).

Not tried breakfast yet, might check in and come back for it this time.

Breakfast is great and plentiful, after my last stay in October I said that was it for the Radisson, I felt it was getting run down for the price they charge but they have started a £10m renovation this year!
Needless to say I have already booked a room for next year, I'm flying from Heathrow this year.

I think I stayed at the radisson in MAN years ago it was great! Really good bathroom too.
The Radisson at LHR is also nice and they have changed the restaurant too.
Though you can't get a porterhouse steak anymore it looks good

We have booked the Park Inn Heathrow and used reward points so a free night really!
There are a few bad comments on Trip advisor about the Park Inn but we have stayed there before and found it OK, We are parking in the NCP car park at the side of the Park Inn so everything is more convenient.
Anyone with comments on the Park Inn? any advice is much appreciated.
