What a breath of fresh air ... I've used the DL booking engine before but as a DL Skymiles member and not VS. The booking engine is very good, as are DL's app which allow for so many options (e.g. seat selection, changing flights etc.), and now by entering my VS FC number it immediately recognizes Sky Priority, so makes available the economy comfort seats (a hop from LGA to DTW on Tuesday).

Been said many times but why-oh-why-oh-why can't VS improve the web site: my suggestion, just rebrand DL's.

Thanks for that Slinky y)

I agree that the VS website is now beyond a joke. How can the re-vamp take so long? I am assuming that it must now be in litigation? The first part of the update will be two years old very shortly and STILL the Flying Club pages are untouched. n(

Your suggestion of merging it all into the Delta site is certainly an idea.

Funnily enough I've spent the last hour or so on the BA website which is so much easier to use ( and I can actually see reward availabity not the " your flight is not available " nonsense you get with VS). I've just about given up with VS for two reasons- the website is a complete mess and the process for booking rewards ( and seeing availability ) is just a joke :(! .
I've a reasonable ammount of FC miles that I just can't find reward flights for :(! and one of the main reasons I'm shifting towards BA ( actually I can get to the USA but there seems to be virtually NOTHING ex any of the USA from the Autumn to next June :(! ).
Coupled with the BA amex companion voucher ( which actually has some real value y) ) it's a bit of a no brainer really.
I think slinky's suggestion is a great one y) .

I have been told that the 'only being able to select your seat once' issue where Little Red flights are part of the booking is due to be fixed at the end of Aug.

I believe the rest of the website not getting updated is all down to money (or lack thereof, to be precise)

So there's the facility to input your VS FC number? I'm not a member of Deltas flying club equivalent and haven't yet flown with them. It all feels a bit alien. How is it supposed to work? You get VS air miles when flying Delta or are ther some glitches that mean you have to make a call to get miles credited?????

Took a couple of DL flights last week and the TP/miles were credited within 4 days - a lot faster than Virgin America !

I did have a job convincing the check in staff at LGA that I could get VS miles. He insisted it was only for Sky Team members. Check in staff at ATL knew all about it.

If this is true, then VS really are skating on thin ice.

Poor website = loss of revenue = lack of money to invest = further cost cutting to prevent deeper losses... and so on.
