Another update, today managed to book our return flights, decided to fly out of Miami rather than New York as we spotted a couple of G's, and we are spending our last few days in the keys anyway.

Booked M fare both ways and upgraded to UC with miles, fares worked out at £1082 + 50,000 miles per person for flights into San Fran and out of Miami which I was very happy with in the end, Current revenue fare quoted for our dates and that route is £3418 pp so those 50k miles are giving some good value at over 4.5p a mile
