Hi,

I'll be travelling UC for the first time from LHR to MIA. I would like to make the most out of the clubhouse. I have a few questions:

1/ Is 7am-7.30 too early to get there? My flight is not until approx 11.30?

2/ How do I go about getting the free treatments (both mens and female treatments for my netter half). Is there an awkward moment getting the free ones - do they expect you to upgrade to a paid treatment?

3/ It's never too early for a mojito - right? :D

Thanks in advance for all your help.

1) not too early, certainly for your first visit

2) Not at all, just ask for the free treatment, never felt pressured to buy a treatment

3) 100% correct ;)

Do most people take advantage of the "free" spa services?

A champagne mojito is one of life's more pleasant experiences :D . The "free" spa experiences are fine. Personally I'm happy to pay for an "enhanced" experience. I remember the good old days when all was free (and non-Uniqs could book pre arrival). I've never had a bad hair cut at LHR and am stil happpy to pay to get a decent manicure or get my hair done :) .

Yes, if
A) we have time and

B) we can get an appointment.

The receptionist in the Spa area has a list of times after which an appointment cannot be given for each particular so as to allow time to complete the treatment. However there have been times reported on here, whereby V-Flyers have arrived well in time for a flight only to be told that no appointment is available. v(
Conversely, I have arrived not expecting to be able to get an appointment and have been offered one within 15 minutes of my arrival in the middle of the day

Personally I've never had any trouble in booking whatever time I like for whatever treatment but I guess I may have been lucky

For heaven's sake, Blacky! You get there half a day before a flight! Of course you're not going to have trouble in booking ii)

Hi All
If we get to the CH on a Sunday morning at say 8am (ish) for a flight that would be scheduled to push back at midday do you reckon we will have a good chance at getting breakfast (champagne mojito) and a treatment or two?
PS - HL I'm upping my game lol

Ok, so our flight is at 3.45pm, what time would you arrive ? I have booked DTCI for 11.30, will that give us enough time to enjoy the CH fully ? ;)

OH may take some persuading to leave earlier, he travels for business and likes to cut it fine !! In fact earlier this year he was travelling to Dublin and realised he forgot his passport when he arrived at the LHR 1.5 hours before his flight , we are near Marlow. He managed to drive back, pick it up and still got his flight :-o

For all those that have and will ask what time to arrive at the Clubhouse ahead of their flight.... the shutters go up at about 645am!! There are sofas outside the main doors should you happen to arrive before the podiums are staffed :P

Ready.... GO!! :w

I always try get there as soon as it opens and never had a problem with haircuts.
I like a Vespa and a bubbly myself hic.
Biggest dilemma for me is deciding where to sit. If truth be known If I get the chance to fly out of LHR the clubhouse trumps the whole trip for me.

Lth, if it was me going on your flight I would look to be arriving about 10 am so you can have breakfast and lunch before you board but then I'm a greedy so and so !arriving at 11.30 you may miss out on the breakfast as I think they stop serving it then

If I was a first timer, I'd aim to arrive at the airport 5 hours before the flight, that should allow a good 4 hours in the CH which is just about right.

Negotiations have started and when I mentioned breakfast OH suggested we get there for 11 ! Just don't want our son to get bored, but I'm sure he will be in awe like us ;)
