been searching for a uc return lgw/mco for oct/nov, my repeated searches for various dates have revealed no availability.
is this because i am searching during peak period (july/august) or have reward seats all been snapped up ?
is it likely more seats will soon become available ??

also i have noticed when i enter my preferred dates of travel the search would include on a graph available / non available dates, or, at least it used to until now,
any idea's ?

Tough availability given there are only 14 seats in the UC cabin on this route.. Reward fares crop up, but not often I am afraid to say.

I also noticed that the graph has disappeared.... it does drag out the reward seat searches if your dates are flexible doesn't it. Perhaps more of their famed website upgrades ii)

In my experience its worth checking often. I checked every day for two months before bagging a G to las for a Friday this September. Other dates kept coming up but never any Fridays, and then one day there it was!

Have you tried looking for reward seats for the two legs separately, rather than as a return?

If you search for a return flight, the system will show no availability even if reward seats are available on one of the legs.

From what many V-Flyers have experienced in recent months, there is often availability on UK to USA flights - it's coming back that's the problem.

So if you're prepared to risk being in PE you could buy an 'S' class fare (if available) and use miles to upgrade each leg if and when a 'G' becomes available. They do appear at random or may even be up for grabs on the day at the airport if they haven't sold out UC.

But as Joey says there are only 14 UC seats on the 747s that fly to MCO so availability is scarce. And if you're going at the end of October you may be coinciding with half term which will obviously push up demand dramatically on that route.

What some people have done in the absence of reward seats to MCO in Upper, is to get reward seats to, say, JFK and then take a JetBlue flight from there to MCO

I know I've been told off before for suggesting this (mentioning no names but let's just say its the person I've quoted ;) ;) ) because of the immigration queues but another option to consider might be LHR-MIA

As the UC cabin is much larger there is more chance of their being reward seats available

Bit of a trade off doing lhr/mia as i hate with a passion arriving in mia, not keen on the 3 hour drive up to orlando after a 9hr flight either, oh well, guess i will have to break out the folding cash and collect some more miles and pay my way to mco !!!

Rewardseats.com will show you the whole month at a glance. Five outward bound legs in September, three in October but for both months there are none yet showing inbound.

And oooh just checked LHR- IAD (which is what I am looking for)and return and its opened up a touch (just a touch) in November... Hmmm
