Using Virgin miles for KLM

Hi folks,

Been a follower of the site for a long time, but only registering now for some advice...

Now that Delta will accept Virgin miles, can anyone advise if KLM will also accept Virgin miles? With AF/KLM partnering Delta, I'm hopeful that the answer is yes!

Looking to fly to YYZ via AMS, and the miles would come in handy...

Unfortunately KLM are not partners (yet) with Virgin Atlantic.

And not likely to be either.

To the OP you could via say Detroit on Delta?

My plan was based on being able to use Virgin miles for Delta flights...which is now poosible AFAIK. The KLM flights that I'm interested in are bookable through Delta, under both Delta flight numbers and KLM flight numbers. So if I book them under the Delta flight numbers, I'm hopeful that I can use my Virgin miles...

Any thoughts?

Lots of options with Delta if we're willing to do a multi-sector trip, but with a toddler, we're hoping to do a single hop...

OK but you said "via" AMS so that's two hops, I guess you're not near London, so using Delta would mean three?
