Just got a note through from my corporate travel department, all JFK virgin flights will also show up as Delta codeshares, and the delta fares are likely to to be cheaper... therefore we have to take them if offered. So, still flying on VS metal, but no limo service, which is just a tad irritating (and for that matter, totally self defeating as a policy if it's only a hundred or so quid cheaper on the delta fare...). And I'll be losing out on a bundle of miles as well!!

But... does that also mean I'm not able to use DTCI? :(

Or... and this is far far worse... that I'm not able to use the CH, and have to make use of whatever lounge offerings that Delta have at both ends? :0 :0

Please, someone, put my mind at rest on that second point at least. Would my AU status swing it, even if the DL flight code would otherwise preclude me?

I'm just hoping that I am worrying about nothing here...

If you are still flying on VS metal in UC then you still get the CH

And the DL lounges at both LHR and LFK really aren't that bad at all. And I think the JFK one has been done up and services expanded.

Don't worry RC, VS metal = VS CH... DCTI the same... y)

Limo service on non VS J fares.... ha ha nope :P Tristar do take bookings direct though |:)

I am slightly concerned a similar decision may face me in the coming months..... cost is supposed to win in my book, but could that be self defeating? 8D

So, corporate travel department makes you fly on a DL codeshare without limo, saves £100. You book two Tristar cars from London (out and back) cost £160.

Corporate travel departments = run by people who don't travel!

Or you buy zone 1-6 single on the tube for £5 each way. :)

Is there such a thing as a corporate travel department anymore? Some poor soul charged with keeping costs down and facing off to an outsourced provider.

I know what you mean though. A few years back some bright spark tried to implement a policy that you couldn't claim meals when away as you eat when you're at home so what's the difference.

Or in my case, in north-east Essex, the time I used our corporate car service (which I think was Addison Lee) to and from Heathrow I was surprised by the resulting £500 charge on my corporate credit card!
