Received today from flying club - an email saying 'you we're close to enjoying the luxury of flying upper class on your trip to Las Vegas'.

Huh??? W are flying to Vegas in a few weeks and we are booked in UC, unless they know something I don't. Anyone else ever had anything like this?

I assume it said "you're ..."

In which case it is correct as you are close to enjoying the luxury on a flight in a few weeks !

But it all depends on the wording of the rest of the email

I got one of these too the other week.

They are sent if you started an online booking via the VS website but abandoned it before completing it fully.

Did you do what I did and search for flights on the same dates you fly to check what the price was since making the booking? That's what I was doing anyway.

Sorry, predictive text! It read 'you were close....'

The booking was made straight to UC, not upgraded by miles, it was one of those rare good price finds.

You may have it there James, I was playing around with the site the other day. Hopefully it's nothing more than that.

Come on tontybear, as one little bear to another it is one of the more satisfying things in this virtual world. I mean that feeling of satisfaction when the price has doubled since your booking was made! y) y)
Mind you it doesn't always work out that way! :$

Lol I totally agree though the temptation can be strong. You don't want to see how much you could have saved.

I have a miles flight booked in PE to St Lucis in a few weeks, and I got one of these as well - including a bit about "why not upgrade to PE for more space, blah, blah". I just put it down to their IT capabilities again...
