Just wondering how, via the website I can upgrade a cabin.

I have booked directly with VS on their website and cannot find a 'button' or link to look at upgrading to UC.

Even when I spoke to an agent yesterday following a flight time change notification she said I could do this via the website.

Anyone know what to do? Or if there is an upgrade button which I cannot see for one reason or another?

Maybe because I am in Oz and the ticket is booked as a return to the UK originating and ending in the US.

Any pointers gratefully accepted - although I imagine I will have to call up again.

thanks

How are you looking to upgrade - with miles or cash?

If miles you can only do it on the phone. You also have to be booked in an upgradable fare bucket in economy or PE (not the cheapest bucket), and there has to be reward seat availability in UC.

If cash, have a look at your Manage My Booking page as it sometimes offers you an upgrade there (assuming you're currently booked in PE). If not, call them.

MMB is the place where I have always seen the upgrade option. This is by cash ofcourse.

All

Thanks for your responses.
It would be a paid upgrade and I do have a Little Red sector and there is definetly no obvious link to upgrade.

Call centre it is then.

Well I spoke to a very helpful lady in the call centre and was offered an upgrade, from PE to UC between LHR to JFK for more than I have paid for LAX-LHR in UC, LHR-MAN and LHR-JFK in PE for the two of us :0 . Decided not to invest!

Apparently only expensive fares available. Who would have thought 28th November would be a busy day in UC to JFK.

Have CH access anyway through VA Platinum FF.

That's Thanksgiving isn't it? That could have something to do with it. And it's probably the first big Christmas shopping weekend in NYC.

The cheapest return UC fares to NYC at the end of Nov/beginning of Dec seem to be about £2500, while after Xmas they drop back to the more normal £1500. Demand is clearly heavy.
