Do i just need to take my itinerary to the Virgin check in desk?

You don't even need to to that. All you have to do is present your passport. I haven't presented an itinerary in years whether it has been booked via the website of Expedia

You need to do OLCI to confirm them (before T-13 hours for ex LHR flightsor T-2 eleswhere)
