It was announced a while ago, their flight is due to arrive at 14:00 so well ahead of the VS ones, and shouldn't therefore affect immigration really.

I wish VS would tweak the times of either the VS27 from LGW or the VS75 from MAN flights to MCO a bit though as they often land at the same time. Their scheduled arrival time is only 5 mins apart.

But will provide some more competition so should help to keep fares sharp.

I'm not really a fan if the earlier arrival time, it means an even early get up for check in plus having to stay awake even longer, so a very long first day.

Also the return flight home departs before 18:00 and arrives very early back in to the UK, which is not good for helping the jet lag.

I suppose a good point there, there could be option to book two separate tickets if you were one who wanted the earlier arrival there but also wanted the later departure back but I think it's something I will consider although it is going to take something for me to switch from the VS product.

While the timings might be interesting - the extras they charge might prove not so tempting:

Luggage:

20kg - £56.00
30kg - £136.00

Meals

£22.00

Add these charges on for a family and it soon racks up. Also, the lack of a premium offering could work against them, iirc the A330's they have (assuming they will be using them on this route) do have a premium cabin, but they dont market it due to higher APD charges.

Will be interesting to see how they do.
