Personally, having had some crappy recent flights with Virgin, I've realised that all my crappy flights have been Ex-LHR and none of the LGW/MAN flights in UC were any problem whatsoever.

I think the larger cabin on the LHR flights mean there's far worse service and far too heavily worked and grumpy staff on them.

Done LGW-MJB return and MAN-LAS return and was very happy with them, LHR-JFK return, and LHR-LAX back from SFO, and was very unimpressed with those. LHR-YVR next week, back 2 weeks later. Let's see.

Short but sucint trip report. Similar situation went from long time gold to red but had a flight to MBJ recently which was excellent on both legs. Agree with Smid about the LGW / LHR situation. Much prefer LGW clubhouse team and LGW 747 as UC feels so much more special. Just need VS to join an alliance now with Europen feeder flights and I would have a genuine alternative to One World
Virgin Atlantic
