I don't know whether anyone else is still following this, but in the middle of the mammoth FT thread on this crash, which has degenerated into squabbling about the death on the runway of one of the young passengers, there is an interesting post on how Asiana dealt with passengers who were due to fly the return sector on this plane:

Indeed it does sound like they were well organised and clearly had a process in place for such an eventuality! Hats off to them!
