Has anyone heard this before.

My husband's Virgin Credit Card (the one that earns you air miles) ran out in July and they didn't send him a new one.

He rang Virgin CC up and they said they hadn't sent a new one out because he hadn't used his card for a while!!

My husband asked if he could have a card on my credit card account instead and they said yes but if he closed the account for his own card he would lose all his air miles in his flying club account.[:(]

Needless to say he just asked for them to send out a new card for his account.

How can MBNA who are the issuers of Virgin Credit Cards clear out a Flying Club air miles account when those air miles were earned fair and square.[V]

I'm sure they must be wrong about this

As far as I can see - once the FC points are transferred to your account at the end of the each billing cycle, MBNA wouldn't be able to 'snatch them back'.

It isn't an area of the law I am expert on, so I stand to be corrected.

Are you sure they were referring to his Flying Club points and not the points you spend in their 'Members Shop', which are a different matter.

No don't think we earn points for the members shop with this card. They definitely said he would lose his air miles from his account.
