Have just booked a long weekend to Dubai in November. Had resigned ourselves to the fact that we'd be on a knackered A340-300, probably without on-demand IFE (not a problem - iPads can take care of that).

Just logged into manage my booking and it seems we've got an A330 both ways - so we get to see the "Dream" suite in the flesh. I know many people on here don't rate the dream suite too much, but are any seats better than others? On the A340 we normally like to take the A or K seats that face the wall - not an option now!

We'll definitely go for window seats - is one side better than the other for views on approach to Dubai (obviously realise the final approach is dependant on the prevailing winds, so no guarantees... but back in the days of Kai Tak, you always wanted a K seat for the approach views).

There really isn't much difference if you are going for A or K side ,D and G are a bit shorter apparently , avoid the 9,s if you want a window ,general consensus is mid way but I've sat in row 1 a and k and found them fine to be honest

I personally like 3 or 4 A/K.....but I know others have their favourites. I would just avoid the middle seats personally.

The A333 is operating the Dubai route over W13/14. I was in the "not sure" camp when the UCDS was launched and I am slowly getting use to it......so I don't avoid it like I was doing which is a good thing as I have a flight coming up on one in the next couple of weeks...which I didn't expect when I booked the flight.

Was in Dubai myself last November, a great time to visit. Enjoy.

I quite like the seat, and I like the plane - there's just too many of the former squeezed into the latter!

I'd go for window seats halfway up the cabin. I wouldn't want to be near the bar - 9A particularly poor - but also not too near the front.

Personally I don't think there's much in it other than to definitely have an aisle.

I like to be midway, we had 3, 4 and 5A on our last flight and they were superb.

I've only done UC in the A330 once. Sat in 6K and I thought it was fine. Practically in the middle but I've never been one to look out of windows especially in UC with the fact that you have to twist around and stretch to see out anyway.

Every UC class seat is an aisle seat :)

.....I am meaning aisle as in window of course....I don't count the pair in the middle the face away from each other..... :D
