Well that was a battle, first told we would be on stand by for miles upgrade, then that we were short 2.5k miles and that we couldn't buy extra. Luckily we had 3G access so I logged on and purchased the extra miles.
It's a good job I know my Virgin stuff !
The lady was very helpful and happy to wait for me to do the transaction thank fully.
So Redhead in hand at the end of the most amazing holiday.
We are in 20 a, 21a and 20d .
Just gonna google the seat map.
Full TRs at some point over coming days :)

Thanks all, was a stressful few moments trying to get it all sorted. Flight was fab, great staff who looked after us and especially our son.

Fighting tiredness now, and still unpacking... Urrgghhh !!!

Be back soon !!!

Just goes to show it is always worth asking at the airport no matter what the various load check sites say the loads are.

Well Done lovetoholiday!

Mind if they only had two seats in UC who would you have left in the back of the bus?

That's the thing, we arrived before checkin opened and were told by a young man that miles upgrades would be on standby as preference is given to those paying cash.
When checkin opened we were seen by a lady at the Premium desk, she said it was possible to have confirmed upgrades if seats and miles were available. They had 3 seats but I was short a couple of thousand miles and was told I could not buy them at the desk. I said that I could do this on line and she let me stay at the desk and make the purchase using my husbands iphone !!
Thankfully the miles were added immediately and she could process the upgrades to G.
It was an anxious few minutes I can tell you !!
My husband would happily have stayed in PE I'm sure Tonty, and leave me to look after jnr in UC. Mind you jnr ate his child's meal and then requested his bed be made up and slept til just before landing :) managed to watch a couple of movies and doze for a while too. Fab flight :)

We had S class tickets.
We also had to pay $90 each taxes, they put out a special call in the CH as they had forgotten to tell us at the checkin desk v(
Luckily we were happy to pay as the extra miles were only £75

It certainly is a great way to end a trip when your not really expecting it to happen , had the same thing in may with my two eldest , needless to say they were made up ,

Hi Dominic

Yes it was amazing, major jet lag today. Thankfully not back to work til tomorrow, but poor little L2H jnr was packed off to school despite tiredness !!
Hope you are having a great trip.
Weird that we have been to the same CH's over the last couple of weeks, need to book a trip to SYD to keep up ! ;)
