Hi All,

I've been a long time lurker of the forum and I've always found it incredibly interesting and useful. I wanted to ask a specific question about Upper Class seating in the A330-300.

I'm flying to MCO from MAN next Thursday and I received the usual pre flight "courtesy call" today from VA. I always book premium economy, though I've always fancied trying upper class (just never been able to stretch the budget!). The aircraft config on my outbound flight doesn't have Upper Class, however my return (VS076) does. I was offered an upgrade at a cost of £950 each (I'm travelling with my girlfriend)......my response......erm thanks but no thanks. I then asked about mileage plus money and was offered an upgrade at £220 each plus 12,000 miles. I thought that was really decent value and as I have over 120k of miles I thought why not!

So my question is which seats are the best to select as a couple? We don't really want to be too close to the bar as its an overnight flight but we obviously want to be as close to each other as we can. I've been allocated 2a and 3a and at the moment much of the cabin is free to book. Do I stick or are there better seats for a couple?

Sorry for the slightly long winded way of asking! Thanks very much in advance :-).

Colin

We do 3, 4 and 5A

K will be no different other than the opposite side. A and K are a few inches longer than the mid pair.

Enjoy your flight.

Firstly welcome to vflyer
2&3a are not bad to be honest ,most vflyer s prefer mid cabin 4-6ish a or k ,avoid d and g in the middle as they are a bit shorter I believe ,also avoid the 9s as they have no window ,no seats one behind the other are really great for couples travelling to be honest so you may well want an a and d or a g and a k
