mdvipond, going to be at Turtle Beach 20th to 30th Oct.

We will definitely be across on the west coast at some point - would be excellent indeed to have a drink. In fact, we may make a trip in honour of the occasion.

Indeed you must! Not everybody has an encounter such as you had with Sandy and we want to know the details. FFS, whole towns flattened by the hurricane have been restored since then and that takes considerably more time than a TR (and notice I'm not mentioning a certain blog that was never updated :w )

OK, I'll make a deal with you. I'm off to the Pacific North West on Thursday. You post your TR before mine and there's a bottle of your choice in it for you (I have my methods for getting it across this puddle jump.) You fail and you owe me a bottle of gin - and not any old gin, a speciality gin. I rather liked the Rangpur gin at a certain gathering recently and Mrs Buns can advise on others. Are you game?

myself and a few friends were there a couple of years ago as a last minute thing, we had no pre-trip info of attractions e.t.c., we arrived and the second day we went down and rented a couple of mini mokes and just went exploring, two days later we were all eager to hop in our mokes and just go see what we could find, it was a fantastic way of getting off the beaten track and discovering the real barbados, fantastic beaches, interesting sights, e.t.c.

Rangpur? Never been one for the cheap stuff, have you HL...? Looks like I'll have to have a stab at it, doesn't it? Though bear in mind, when my doting daughter and wife ask why there's no dinner on the table this evening, I'm blaming you...

Coercion? Intimidation? Blackmail? Duress? I’m not sure which honey lamb, but either way, I like your tactics ^) ): ^)

The anticipation I felt between JK Rowling’s Harry Potter novels had nothing on this! ;)

LetThereBeFlight - if you think, for one moment, that is the limit of Hl's "influence" around here, you are badly mistaken!

mdvipond, suggest we pencil in one evening after 20th, and PM nearer the time?

Don't actually know Ramschackles, would the youngsters be welcome?

My goodness, now getting excited about Barbados, it seemed a long way off when booked, but is approaching fast...

Anyone else there at the same time?

Right, that's it, I've had enough, I'm booking Turtle Beach this week and to hell with the stupid prices next Easter. I can only take so much of this talk of rum, frivolity, rum, food, rum, rum and rum.

See what you lot do to me...

You're more than welcome. Join the fun. But hurry. There might be no rum left if you leave it too late. :o)

It's finally here. Severe delays on the trains meant that I made it to the airport with little time to spare but I've boarded and settled into the really nice PE cabin of the A333 which I must say feels nicer than the UK cabin

Hi Tinuks, at Waves too. I'll be eating in Feast tonight at 8 then will be in the bar. Would be great to share a rum if you're around. Paul

Silvermoon http://silvermoonbarbados.com/is an absloute "must do" on our visits.
Despite the horrid construction in recent years Crane Beach is still worth a visit too (although I've given up on staying there as it's now just too big and American v( )
Oistins is a fun night out too.
Have fun - it's a great place :) .

I just got back from the Silver Moon cruise. Had a great time. Thanks for the recommendation DL

Dinner at Tides followed by drinking & dancing at Lexy's piano Bar in Holetown. If you haven't stayed at Waves before I suggest you try their Feast restaurant, very good standard.

Have a great trip.

We'll be taking a trip up the coast on Silvermoon next week (or maybe the week after - hell, we're in no rush!). How's the weather out there at the moment?

It rains a bit everyday but only for a few minutes. Asides, it's glorious sunshine and blue skies, and lots of rum punch (that has nothing to do with the weather but it's important to mention)

Have a great trip.

I tried feast last night and the food was good. I was particularly fascinated by the little fish pond in the middle of the restaurant.
