Seems like a new sale is on for 3 days

http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/gb/en/ideas-lowestfares/sale-fares.html

£389 Econ return to New York is pretty reasonable!

Edit: can't get link to work direct to sale page but click on destinations and fares, and 3 day sale is listed.

I was really impressed with the New York price!! I'm at the stage having flown Upper my last 3 flights (despite not really having the earnings to be an upper passenger) that I've got to make the decision about whether to have less holidays and fly upper or more holidays and fly Econ or PE.

I guess it still gets you to the same place at the same time , my only concern is legroom as I'm 6ft 2 but I guess you can buy extra legroom

Yep guess so, it's the whole experience I'd miss I think! I'm not massively tall so wouldn't struggle on seat size, time will tell I guess but I can see myself flying Econ or PE to the east coast in the future and save upper for longer trips!

Yep I think that's a good call , after all if your gold you will still get the CH etc but when sales are on you could get 3/4 flights for the price of a z y)
