Airport upgrade

It's probably fair to say it's not the best time to be landing at JFK but don't let that put you off , plenty of people on here have prob sailed through in minutes ,just not me !

this would be the only time available to travel as i am upgrading on my air miles to UC. and i suppose going on a saturday does not help! i think i will have to lump it once i actually book the flight ?|

Through in 20 minutes last Jan off the Vs045, one of the first off the plane and walked briskly to immigration. We got lucky!

Fordie I'd snap VS's hand off at the price you've secured, including £45 to transfer 3k miles to your girlfriend's account. Think about it - UC cabin both ways for 2, with all that entails, clubhouse both ways, extra luggage allowance just in case your girlfriend goes mad with the shopping out there (or you for that matter), for the same price some people are gonna be paying for economy. It's a good price.

If I weren't going to Prague for Christmas already, and still paying for my Japan trip next May, I'd be thinking about a few days in NYC for that price.

Well it seems you have a good Xmas and year to come so look forward to that. I do agree it is an amazing price im just trying to weigh it up as ive just got back from a 4 week trip to orlando so feeling that pocket burning! but it would be a good trip and it is probably more than half the price if i paid normally also!

i have until 4pm tomorrow and ring up to secure the seats as they are on hold until then! ill be racking my brain all night thinking about it. Just hope the work up until then keeps coming.

With the UC upgrade would this exclude the chauffeur car?
i also did a dummy booking paying just cash for 4th-9th and its says £5,127.30 so i think ive saved alot.

It's always a tricky thing weighing up the pros and cons of spending another large sum of money, especially if you're self employed (reading between the lines I'm guessing you are) but I say life's too short and go for it. But that's me.

You don't get CDC with reward seats I'm afraid, but it can be purchased for something like 17500 miles I think. Someone else will know that one.

No Car with reward seats unfortunately, you can arrange one for extra miles, but Dial 7 your best bet IMO

It still can feel like 100 hours. Luckily when we went to Vegas we
Flew UC, so glad otherwise I would have gone mad. At least we can put the bed down and try sleep! I hope you have some funky jimjams!

You just need to ring them up within a month if travel and book a drive through slot, they'll need the car reg no and the names of people in the car, it's really simple. Think the number to call is 01293 493600

Yes, as Trevski says, just need to arrange it. I know some regulars may think "meh" but the fun of coming up the ramp and having someone come out to greet you and collect your bags starts the trip off in fine fashion.

Bear in mind there are some tight turns getting up the ramp and you may want to risk someone else's paintwork ):

That's good to hear and well I have never done the heathrow UC experience so it would be great and also I was going to tell my girlfriend we are going premium she would be like what the hell! Haha and is it really tight? I wanted to take my bmw but if there extremely tight I may have to think twice?

I personally prefer sitting one in front of the other but everyone has their own preferences etc.

With 6A/K (12A/K on LHR 747) you do not have foot traffic passing between you as you will on the Airbus. And IIRC the "opposite" seats are slightly offset. I'd definitely go for one behind the other, and use the ottoman to sit together for the main meal.

I'd say def one behind the other, 2-5k or 9-14 a

Can i ask with booking dial 7 car from the airport to hotel how can i estimate pick up time with JFK immigration can be a nightmare?

A rough estimate is fine as you'll have to call them when you are ready for pickup, I went for 45 mins after scheduled arrival time, but they won't mind if you are 45 mins early/late
