Am flying EDI-LHR-JFK on Friday...

Q> When checking in for the Little Red at T-24 hours tomorrow morning, does it also let you check-in for the connecting flight, even though that flight is 29 hours away..??

When flying BA, it does.

Reason I ask is I don't want to lose the opportunity to pick a better seat on the international flight..

And recently when doing a same-day return on VS, so an EDI-LHR-EDI, when checking in at T-24 hours for the first flight, not only was I not able to seat select for the return flight, it also disappeared from my future flights section, and I was unable to seat select for the return flight at all.
(And the kiosk check-in at the airport just spat out 2 BPs, again without any seat map).

I have literally just done EDI-LHR-JFK flight today! You check in online for both flights even though the second one isn't exactly 24 hours before :) and yeah I had same issue with same day returns for domestics but if you go to kiosks at airport it prints both boarding passes for you there and yeah same again with the disappearing bookings. Its annoying really

EDIT - scuppered!

So, checked in for the flights.. and it checked me in for both the Little Red and the VS45.. BUT no seat map available to me for the VS45, so no chance of me moving seats, or getting in the bubble.

:(!

Phoned FC - nothing they can do.

Hi first time poster here.
Does anyone know if this IT problem is now fixed as I'm doing VS3042 MAN-LHR then VS45 LHR-JFK on 9th Nov and on pre allocation on VS45 my girlfriend and I are 3 rows separated on opposite sides of aircraft and there are no other seats to pre assign :(.
