A rant, warning:

Well, on VS metal on some work trips (for Nov, flying out week after next) i just priced UC was cheaper than PE to JFK in a couple of weeks - both non-flexible, both at 3k for a return for both, not cheap. Have specific days need to fly to meet colleagues and split at New York.

But, yet, DL is still odd in the booking engine - LHR->BNA flights on my dates show not available in UC via VS - when I check there clearly is UC availability via NWY, and the PE price shows the connection has availability - yet the full LHR-BNA UC isn't available. Annoying disparity - as imagine work would put me on UC given it being cheaper than PE providing BA isn't cheaper.

What I imagine will happen though, is BA will have availability in PE for way less than VS (the work rate booking engine can be super-cheap as it scouts odd odd returns), and I'll be forced onto them if there due to a large differential (I was last time). I'll update as secretary books tomorrow...

I can confirm the DL interconnects (at least on the VS site) still not entirely working as they should for me.

Really hoping I get on VS this time, should end up being half way to gold at end of trip in half of my rolling year if it goes ahead... May have to do a TP run on next US trip... OOI BNA->ATL return in first is under £300 in advance- 45 min flight, 3 TP each way if I'm right ( I think I am?) - is this the ultimate TP run? Is there a better one?

Agree with the OP.

I was just trying to book a flight to Pittsburgh. The VS website wouldn't return any options at all. Expedia gave options of around £530 (this is economy) for most airlines/partners; the only option involving VS was priced at £1,700! Bizarre.

A quick trip to the DL site, and the trip is booked for a good price with sensible connections -- and all on DL. The DL site offered (from memory) one connection onto a VS flight, which didn't really work time-wise.

And so despite having a clear preference to fly with VS on the transatlantic leg, I ended up booking Delta all the way.

Okay, just checking today and work about to book.

Fun. Works booking engine finds the DL flights (on VS metal) - but not vice versa, so I can't have a VS farecode. Pain, as bet that means not eligible for upgrade due to status.

VS need to sort their integration out with Concur and the other booking engine work use in my opinion...

Still in positives, looks like next trip will at least be on VS metal in PE.

Interrogating the booking engine further, it appears they have loaded inventory for LHR->BNA, but not vice versa.. which is why the fares not showing at work

Hope someone from Virgin reads this and takes note, if you want corporate travellers you need to load fares in both directions to the corporate booking engines you must know we all use.
