So after a few days in the Florida sun it was time to head home. Arriving into MCO at 1530 was a tad early but was checked in quickly with lounge invite provided. The ground team were excited as it was the first day they would get to see the 3-class A333 at MCO.

I made my way through security pretty quickly and was welcomed warmly into the Delta lounge which was rather quiet. It provides a pretty basic spread as we know, but a couple of drinks and a snack were enjoyed.

I didn't wait for the boarding call and wandered down to the gate at 1800. Boarding commenced at 1815 with priority boarding in operation.

With only 16 passengers in UC it certainly made the cabin feel far less cramped which is one of my biggest gripes of UC on the A333. The crew were fabulous from the word go - personal welcome backs from the FSM, CSS and the crew member looking after my section.

Champagne was offered and enjoyed with not just one but two refills. Newspapers and magazines were offered along with sleep suits. The menu wasn't on the ottoman as they had not been loaded, but not a major issue.

Push back came at 1856 with take off a few minutes later with a flight time of 8hrs13mins promised.

Hot towels offered quickly with drink orders taken with bottles of water also provided......drinks dispatched with crisps and refilled until you said stop.......the crew were attentive, chatty, friendly and loving their A333 experience. It was the first time for the crew on board. In UC we had 5 crew looking after us through the flight so you never had to ask for anything :D

Tables were laid for dinner at 2030 and I enjoyed the Tomato soup, the beef fillet and finished with bread and butter pudding with cream. As it was the A333 no cheese trolley but it was proactively offered but I retired to the bar for a couple of mugs of hot chocolate and chatted with the crew.

I returned to my bed already made up and settled in. I am not a fan of the dream suite in bed mode but I did sleep on and off for a couple of hours before waking and deciding to listen to some music and watch some of the IFE.

Breakfast was enjoyed about an hour from Manchester with a bacon roll, two mugs of coffee and some juice enjoyed.

Hot towels and love-hearts were offered before landing which we completed on runway 05R at 0820 taxing to Gate 202. I was off the aircraft at 0830 and with case in hand, which was first on the belt up the train station at 0845.

A truly superb flight with an amazing crew. I did write in praising the crew and received a lovely letter back.. Fantastic oo) :D

Good to hear the return was as good as the outbound Jon ,
It certainly makes the UC cabin feel nicer when only half full though doesn't it
Top marks to VS for replying back aswell

Thanks for the TR,

A great flight by the sounds of it, still yet to experience the UCDS myself but as my trips are generally to the West Coast I don't think there's much danger of that.

I often use the customer feedback section on the website to pass on my complements to the crew and generally give VS a pat on the back and on occasion I have received a reply thanking me for my comments and saying they would be passed on but never a real letter :0
