G class tickets to NYC ?

I am flying to NYC on Thursday and am booked in an M class economy – I was just wondering how I could find out if there were any G class tickets available to upgrade to upper on any of the flights VS or Delta (?) that day – VS preferred - to go into JFK or Newark? I am v flexible on times, the only flight I don’t want is the 17. I know that I would have to pay a change fee if I change my flight as currently am booked on the 1. Any info gratefully received…

Do a dummy booking on the VS website using the Spend Miles option. If there are reward flights, ring VS about it. You may not be able to change from the VS1 to a JFK flight but if you don't ask, you don't get!

How did you find that out Dom? Is there an easy way or do you need to do the miles spender online?

i spoke to flying club and booked an m class Economy ticket and said i wanted to upgrade using miles and they checked the dates and were brilliant help! also the guys on v-flyer helped massively to.hope you get your UC seat

I just tried a dummy booking online saying that I wanted to travel LHR-NYC on Oct 31st in UC class using miles, the website then offered me a list of flights with available G's on.
